Azza Abdalla, MD is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, born in Providence, Rhode Island, and raised in South Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Medical Humanities from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Dr. Abdalla is passionate about building meaningful connections with her patients, taking the time to understand them as individuals and providing thoughtful guidance to support informed decision-making. Her clinical interests include high-risk obstetric care, complex delivery planning, family planning, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Abdalla enjoys spending time with friends and family, discovering new restaurants, and traveling to explore new places.

Clint Burrus, MD is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with an impressive academic background as a National Merit Scholar, magna cum laude graduate of Southwestern University, and graduated medical school at UT Southwestern Dallas. He completed his residency training at Parkland UT Southwestern, where he specialized in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical skills. Dr. Burrus chose to stay at Parkland UT Southwestern for residency to support his growing family, gaining extensive experience in treating both common and rare conditions in obstetrics and gynecology.

In his practice, Dr. Burrus serves as a comprehensive care provider, offering expertise in gynecologic care, breast health, routine cervical cancer screening, and bone density screening. He emphasizes a holistic approach to women’s health, addressing not only physical concerns but also providing emotional, psychological, and psychiatric support when needed. Dr. Burrus believes in building long-term relationships with his patients, following them through various stages of life from routine screenings to childbirth and beyond.

His dedication to patient-centered care and his ability to age alongside his patients make him a trusted figure in the community, where he is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to women’s health and well-being.

Gretchen Hilt, MSN, CNM, APRN is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has been part of the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center team since 2006, when she began her career as a labor and delivery nurse. With a deep passion for women’s health, Gretchen is dedicated to empowering women through education and compassionate care at every stage of life.

She earned her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, a program nationally recognized for midwifery education. During her training, she completed more than 685 clinical hours working alongside experienced midwives in San Antonio, gaining extensive hands-on experience in caring for women throughout pregnancy and beyond.

As an advanced practice registered nurse, Gretchen provides comprehensive care for women from adolescence through menopause. Her services include gynecologic care, preconception counseling, pregnancy care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and guidance through perimenopause and menopause. She works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure patients receive coordinated, personalized care.

Gretchen values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with her patients, supporting them through life’s many transitions—from their first gynecologic visits to starting families and beyond. She believes strongly in taking a proactive approach to health and helping women prioritize their own well-being so they can care for their families and communities.

Shaliah Howard, WHNP, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering safe, patient-centered care. Her expertise includes well-woman exams, family planning, STI evaluation and treatment, and prenatal care. Shaliah places a great emphasis on health education and patient autonomy, with the aim of empowering her patients to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University. Before becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Shaliah gained valuable experience as a postpartum nurse, outpatient gynecological nurse, and advanced care nurse at a Level I hospital, accumulating a total of thirteen years of experience in women’s health.

Outside of work, Shaliah enjoys traveling, spending time with family, savoring a good cup of coffee, exploring new cultures, and building new relationships.
